I have a Vera Bradley addiction!! If you don't believe me, here is my collection:

I'm back!!

I know I have been gone for a while, but now that the kids are settling into school, I can get back to things. L seems to like kindergarten. Here they only go 2 days a week the first 2 weeks, so Monday will start their first full week. B is going to preschool at our church 2 days a week and he seems to like it. His teacher said he is very sweet to the other kids, but he doesn't want to sit for group. ( we went through this with L, who is ADHD as well as language delayed) B has some speech issues, so I don't know if that plays into this or not. He will go to speech outside of school and he has his evaluation on Tuesday. L has speech 2 days a week at school and OT once. We will meet to make a new IEP for the year in 2 weeks. Anyway, I got then the cutest backpacks from pottery barn kids with thier names on them. L has pink and B has orange(hey we are in Knoxville-gotta show our big orange pride.

yes I am still here!!

I know I have been a very bad blogger of late! It has been very busy with the summer nearing an end and getting ready for school. Grandaddy is also still not 100% and his kidney are not functioning properly. L is so excited about kindergarten and B will be in preschool 2 days a week. He also qualifies for speech therapy here and they will work around his school schedule. I t was a funny feeling buying my baby a backpack and lunchbox for school. where has the time gone?

Our church had it's childrens clothing sale last week and I found some great buys. i got B some pants that are Gap for like $2 a pair, plenty of sweater vests for fall (one was a talbits kids). In all I got him about 6 outfits and 2 pairs of shoes. I even found a castles and crowns backpack (smocked baseball design) for school. It was 6 dollars. L I was not as lucky far as the 6x stuff waspicked over, but I did gether a Christmas dress. Here was the deal of the day. I got one of these:

For $12.50!!!!!!!!!!! They retail for over $100!!!

More to come later. I will sum up the summer, list the top 5 best new vera bradley items and start an album of the week feature.

Bargin of the day

I was in target yesterday and I had to grab these drining mocs. I know the web site lists them as on sale for $20.99, but at my store they were 75% off!! That's right, I paid $7.48 for them!!!!

cleaning tip of the day

Yesterday B decided to draw very lovely murals (in crayon) all over his wall, his sisters wall, and the playronm door. oh yeah, and the bottom of the train table. Never fear, if any of your little ones do this, Mr. Clean magic erasers will get rid of it in a jiffy!

T J Maxx

So I went yesterday to see if I saw anything good. Actually I saw way too much good!! I did get some new bras (that was a major need) and a cute lime green swim coverup that was marked down to $7.00!! Now the rest of what i am about to mention I could not decide on, but I think I am going back today or tomorrow. I saw the Lilly tunics Tickled Pink and Green posted about. They are so cute and you can't beat the price. I couldn't decide between the pink and the blue and I am now sure I want the pink. They also had tons of super cute wellies for 19.95. One set had whales on them!! yay I have been wanting whale wellies. I was in the wallet section and I got soo excited because I saw a snall red Lacoste item. I thought it was a wristlet for 19.99 and then I realized it was a fanny pack, so I put it back. They also had these really cute quilted cotton gift sets that had a tray, 2 sizes makeup bags, a coin purse and a luggage tag for $12.00! the colors would blend perfectly with my Vera Bradley Kensington stuff.

Speaking of Vera Bradley, I had heard about some of the VB paper products being at TJ's and Homegoods. None at TJs but i went next door to Homegoods and they had natucket navy message boards for $14.99!
