Ready for Fall?

As you all know, Labor day marks the official end of summer. The kids are well back into school and I see fall goodies showing up at all the stores (AC Moore,TJ maxx, Marshalls, Homegoods and so on) So far I have snagged a yankee jar candle at Marshall's for $7.99 (it was one of the Halloween scents), some fall garland for the mantle at AC Moore at half off, a cute Halloween jumper with turtleneck (for L) for $12.99 at TJ Maxx. Anyway, I love fall,its my favorite season. So, I thoughtI would share a link to this awesome site Pumpkin Nook. Enjoy!

I went years without ever setting fooot in there, but latley I have been finding some really good stuff. A lot of it is very J crew "inspired" Here are my favorite new purchases:

Vera Bradley

I'm back!!

I know I have been gone for a while, but now that the kids are settling into school, I can get back to things. L seems to like kindergarten. Here they only go 2 days a week the first 2 weeks, so Monday will start their first full week. B is going to preschool at our church 2 days a week and he seems to like it. His teacher said he is very sweet to the other kids, but he doesn't want to sit for group. ( we went through this with L, who is ADHD as well as language delayed) B has some speech issues, so I don't know if that plays into this or not. He will go to speech outside of school and he has his evaluation on Tuesday. L has speech 2 days a week at school and OT once. We will meet to make a new IEP for the year in 2 weeks. Anyway, I got then the cutest backpacks from pottery barn kids with thier names on them. L has pink and B has orange(hey we are in Knoxville-gotta show our big orange pride.

yes I am still here!!

I know I have been a very bad blogger of late! It has been very busy with the summer nearing an end and getting ready for school. Grandaddy is also still not 100% and his kidney are not functioning properly. L is so excited about kindergarten and B will be in preschool 2 days a week. He also qualifies for speech therapy here and they will work around his school schedule. I t was a funny feeling buying my baby a backpack and lunchbox for school. where has the time gone?

Our church had it's childrens clothing sale last week and I found some great buys. i got B some pants that are Gap for like $2 a pair, plenty of sweater vests for fall (one was a talbits kids). In all I got him about 6 outfits and 2 pairs of shoes. I even found a castles and crowns backpack (smocked baseball design) for school. It was 6 dollars. L I was not as lucky far as the 6x stuff waspicked over, but I did gether a Christmas dress. Here was the deal of the day. I got one of these:

For $12.50!!!!!!!!!!! They retail for over $100!!!
